Highlights
Tonight is Monte's birthday. "Purple Haze" makes a second appearance in GNT during the encore. This time Adam is much more familiar with the lyrics:
- He sings "'Scuse me while I kiss this guy" the way Jimi Hendrix used to jokingly sing it
- During the line, "Whatever 'tis this girl's got a hold on me [sic]" he mimes the act of smoking, a reference to Mary (Mari) Jane (Juana).
"Whole Lotta Love" in this concert is arguably the most vocally and visually powerful rendition in GNT to date. Adam is in his own world. It is almost impossible to describe this performance in words -- the video leaves a much more powerful message:
